At Insight Wealth, we’re dedicated to making a positive impact on our local community, whether through our range of bespoke financial services or by giving back to those around us. Today, we want to share some news about our recent charitable efforts and the impact they’ve had for those in need.
Our charity recommendation incentive scheme
This year we launched our charity recommendation incentive scheme to support the Hope Centre.
Through this scheme, we make a £50 charitable donation to the Hope Centre for every initial meeting we have that comes from a client recommendation. Simply put, if our clients recommend their friends, family or colleagues to us and we meet with them, we’ll make a £50 donation on their behalf.
What is the Hope Centre?
The Hope Centre is an exceptional charity supporting those experiencing problems with homelessness, addiction and mental health in Northamptonshire. They provide hot drinks, meals, warm spaces and various types of guidance and support to those in need. Through collaboration and compassion, they offer hope, stability, and a brighter future for vulnerable people.
The charity helps around 60 people a day with their “Hand Up” service, helping the homeless and disadvantaged with food, care and support. Around 180 people are registered to use their “Learning4Living” programmes, which provide a range of activities, groups and courses to help those in the community.
There are also around 2,500 households using the Hope Centre’s community larders, which provide food to families who are struggling during the cost of living crisis.
We’re delighted to be able to say that, since launching our charity incentive, we’ve been able to raise £250 for the charity.
Our directors, Marc and Jason, visited the Hope Centre in person on 12 October to present them with a cheque for our donation, and to meet the members of their fantastic team.
While they were there, Marc and Jason found out what sorts of things the £250 donation would be able to buy for those who relied upon the Hope Centre’s services:
- Breakfast, hot lunch and drinks all day for 35 rough sleepers and sofa surfers
- 4 hours of specialist counselling for those suffering from problems with drugs and alcohol or mental health, or debt management support for those in need
- 10 emergency welfare packs for someone facing homelessness
- Food staples for a week for up to 10 families struggling to pay for food.
A thank you from us
We’d like to say thank you to some of the clients who have recommended us to their friends and family in recent months and made our charitable work possible. So, we’d like to say a big thank you to: Sally, Dave, Jean and Mike, Sylvia and Roger, and Alan.
We’re always thrilled when our clients recommend us, as it validates the work we do. Recommendations to other people allow us to share our expertise and provide peace of mind when it comes to helping our new clients achieve their goals.
We’d also like to share some client stories from those we’ve helped recently…
Ensuring a comfortable retirement through pension consolidation:
Robin came to us with five different pension plans and was confused about what they were, what they meant and whether he could afford to retire in three years’ time. We were able to simply explain the pensions he had, consolidate three of them and provide income forecasts to ensure he could retire comfortably by his desired date.
Creating a tax-efficient income and freeing up time:
Nicola had inherited some money but wasn’t sure what to do with it. After assessing Nicola’s expenditure, we advised her to pay off a few loans and we invested some of the money to provide her with a tax-efficient income. This meant Nicola was able to start working part-time and had more time for her hobbies and seeing her grandchildren.
